What is Women in the Woods?
This lesbian cultural event is an unparalleled equalizer of people bringing together women of diverse race, culture, economics, education and age. The environment is earth-centered, nurturing and healing for body, mind and spirit.
This is a magical, unforgettable 4 days and 3 nights at Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort - a secluded, 60+ acres of Central Oregon old growth forest. Sleep in cozy geothermally-heated cabins. Soak in the pristine setting of open-meadow natural hot springs pools overlooking the Breitenbush River and the forested mountain slopes. Energize with 100+ interesting, funny and creative women.
Three plentiful vegetarian meals are provided daily with herb teas and beverages. Special dietary needs accommodated. Sack lunches are available for walks or day hikes through the ancient forest. Breitenbush is drug and alcohol free.
There is the historic lodge, Forest Shelter building, straw bale building, quiet Sanctuary, meadow and forest gathering spots for workshops, discussion groups, drumming, or meditating.
Thursday evening orientation is the beginning of the magic of Women in the Woods where what you want is what you can do. If you're looking for schedules, meetings and structure: that will not happen. If you're looking for a particular sport, craft, discussion group or activity - you make it happen. Experience your days and nights in exciting, women-created flowing, changing and surprising ways. You won't want to leave.
