Looking for a unique gift for someone who has everything? Pay someone’s way to Women in the Woods this year. The memories will last longer than an iPad! And they probably have one of those already anyway. We’ll make them a special gift card. Heck, a SWAT team member will deliver it personally, within the Portland metro area. If not in Portland, we’ll send it priority mail to arrive by the holiday. Pam will deliver it in a costume if you buy two.
The Talent/No Talent show at Darcelles’s Nov. 6 raised $1300 for the Women in the Woods Scholarship Fund. Thanks to Brenda and the Women in the City group for producing it.

Save the date: Sunday, Nov. 6 at 3pm at Darcelle XV in Portland, Oregon. Organized by Women in the City. Sliding scale: $10-$25. No one turned away.
Lynn Francis Anderson is going to open the show. Sierra, Susan Turner and the Chili Peppers Kitchen Band, Barb Beal and the Portland Women’s Jug Band will all perform. Ila Suzanne and Lynette Yetter will read from their works. Nikki Jauron is going to perform. Jodi is going to belly dance. You do not want to miss it! Watch this space for more information.

What is the SWAT team?
Six fantastic women who volunteer all year long to organize this one event in August.
Women in the Woods has been happening for decades. Some women come year after year, some come when life allows it.
It is a wonderful time creating community and enjoying the company of women in a beautiful old growth forest. It is a time closed to men, except for the male staff of Breitenbush who work the resort collectively.
We hope you will join us and experience the magic of Women in the Woods. You will be glad you did.
